In this blog post, I’ve chosen to go with the Greco-Roman visual representation of a goddess. Are these costumes the only visual representation of a goddess? Absolutely not. But these design motifs and visuals don’t cross into the territory of cultural appropriation.
In the post below, I have endeavored to list costumes by most size inclusive to least, as well as some DIY plus size goddess costumes.
When looking through the options I’ve gathered for your plus size Halloween costume, please be sure to look at the MEASUREMENTS — not just the number on the size chart. This post contains a number of brands, and they do not use the same size chart!! As you read through my post, you’ll find that there isn’t a whole lot of rhyme or reason to the size labels — knowing your own measurements will help you find your very own plus size goddess costume.
Look at the measurement, not the size label when shopping for your costume. What is a 5X for one brand is another brand’s 2X!

Ok, this is technically a plus size Roman costume, but it’s definitely giving me “This is SPARTAAA!” vibes.

Looking for a plus size warrior costume or a warriar goddess costume? This costume isn’t marketed as a “goddess costume,” but I think it fits the bill quite nicely.

In this section, I’m sharing plus size goddess dresses that you can use with goddess accessories to DIY your own greek goddess costume! Doing this is a great idea, as you’ll be able to wear your plus size dress to other events and use it for other costumes (like being a plus size angel for Halloween)!!!

#18 Plus Size Goddess Costume DIY
I wanted to start the DIY section of my guide with one of the most size-inclusive brands, AZAZIE. This one shoulder white plus size goddess-like dress.

Now let’s talk about a plus size white set! I love that this set shows one’s midriff. This white set could also be used for an all-white party or other event. It’s quite versatile!! I’m considering getting this set in another color for my future trips later this year. This would be a great plus size resort outfit. Why buy something for 1 reason, after all?
