Y’all, in the last few years we have seen an ABSOLUTE EXPLOSION of plus-size brands entering the arena, and while I’m STOKED for that — it can still be hard to find plus size two piece sets. This is such a bummer, because I know that plus size two piece sets are the ultimate plus size outfit hack, lol. You can look super put together (I, personally, love that) and a plus size two piece set takes minimal outfit planning.
Now the problem is FINDING where to shop for plus size 2 piece sets!!

OKAY, NOW LET’S GET TO IT!
Tips for Shopping for Plus Size Two Piece Sets
- Stretch is our friend! While I love a gorgeous 100% cotton plus size two piece set, it’s probablyyyy (cough definitely cough) not going to be nearly as comfy as a plus size two piece set made out of fabric, or a fabric that has some small percentage of nylon, spandex, etc! Learn your fabrics, babe!!
- Remember, sizes are DIFFERENT! This fact can cause some plus size people to throw tantrums (real talk, I find that so annoying), but size charts are DIFFERENT! You could be a 4X in one brand a 2X in another. Fact of life, babeskies! There is no one “true” size chart. Sorry not sorry! Because of this, I recommend you get a measuring tape so you can snag your measurements — and compare those to the size chart!
- Mix and Match! I love plus size two piece sets because you can use the set as one outfit, and swap out pieces for other outfits — for instance, taking a skirt from one plus size two piece outfit and using it with a different color top or graphic tee! Love it! ( Real talk, I think everyone needs a black and/or navy two piece set, because they’re a wardrobe staple!)
Uhhh – Real Quick – What Do We Mean by “Two Piece Set”?
If you’re on my blog to learn all things plus size fashion (I’m so freaking glad you’re here!) you may be a bit confused by the term “plus size two piece set“?
So what IS a plus size two piece set? Let’s define this term!
Well, a two piece set is where a brand has designed two pieces of clothing — in the same fabric, color and pattern — to go together. Kind of like a track suit or those 90’s Juicy Couture track suits, a two piece set is designed to be worn together, giving a monochromatic look (or a H2T — head to toe — look with one print).
A plus size two piece set can be:
- Skirt and top
- Bodycon dress and duster // shrug that goes to your knees
- Pants and a top/shirt
- Shorts and a top!
3 Characteristics of a plus size two piece set:
- Top and bottom made out of same fabric, and also the same color/pattern
- Oftentimes a solid color — but prints exist
- Usually curve hugging (in my opinion), made out of jersey or stretch fabrics
And remember, the two components of a plus size two piece set are designed to be worn together, but fashion designers (of which I am one!) also design these to be mix and match! So fun!

I have been a fan of Eloquii for YEARS, and this outfit really takes the plus size two piece set and elevates it for work! I really love how chic and sophisticated this navy plus size two piece set is, and I think this is a fabulous plus size work outfit!

I first learned of RebDolls from Marie at The Curvy Fashionista (love ya, Marie!)! RebDolls makes a variety of super cute plus size looks — all with STRETCH! RebDolls knows you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for looking cute AF! Also, I love that RebDolls is a Black-owned brand AND they’ve led the way for plus size size inclusion for years — offering sizes that other plus size brands were slow to do. Ahem.
In my mind, RebDolls is THEE place to shop for plus size two piece sets — they specialize in them! Almost all of their pieces are designed to be worn as part of a set. (But heads up, pieces are often sold separately!)
- Sizing: Up to a 5X (size 30/32) up to a 58 inch hip
Real talk, I also love that RebDolls shows models over a size 1X or 2X! I would love to see more models who are a 5X on their site (like plus size model, Saucye West!)

4. Plus Size 2 Piece Sets: PrettyLittleThing
Prefer a bit more sex-appeal with your plus size two piece sets?! I been there! If you’re looking to show a bit more skin, then PTL (PrettyLittleThing) is the place you wanna go! PTL is a UK-Based brand that aims to serve the 16-24 year old market (but obvii if you love their clothes, you should buy them, no matter your age)!

5. Plus Size Two Piece Sets: Fashion to Figure
I first found Fashion to Figure a few years ago, and was bummed when they closed shop. They reworked their business and relaunched a few years ago — and I was stoked! The brand is known for their KILLER collabs with plus size models and influencers (doing a collab with them may or may not be on my vision board. JK, real talk doing a collab or capsule collection with them is TOTES on my vision board)!
- Sizing: Fashion to Figure’s size chart goes from a plus size 0 to 4, where a size 4 is like a size 26-28

6. Plus Size 2 Piece Outfits: Boohoo
I honestly can’t remember when I first learned about Boohoo, but they’ve been a wardrobe staple for many plus size babes. I appreciate their aesthetic, but DAMN I wish they had all of their pieces shown on plus size models. It’s so hard to picture what a piece will look like on me when it’s on a size 4 model. Like the smaller models are gorgeous, no hate, but I can’t see the pieces on me. (Boohoo call me if you need a size 22-24 model, lol).

Ok, so when I was first writing this roundup, I kind of forgot about Ashley Stewart. I haven’t seen a ton of two piece sets on their site. But THEN I saw an ad of theirs come up when I was doing research, and I remembered that this brand makes a ton of plus size two piece suits — so I did a deep dive!
And, ta da! They do have a couple of plus size two piece sets, the dress + duster combo!

Y’all, I basically LIVE on the Torrid website! I love them so much! They don’t have a ton of plus size two piece sets, but they usually always have a few options. I am loving this plus size skater skirt and top set option from them — both in black and red gingham! (Fun fact: My brother helped me by adding photos to this blog post as a contractor, and he didn’t know what “gingham” was! Gingham is like that small checked plaid — see the red outfit! He’s such a cutie, lol!)

If you ever want a more flowy and easy-breezy plus size two piece set (less bodycon feeling for the club), then you can search through brands resortwear or even two piece swim cover up sets! FashionNova usually has a really good amount of plus size two piece sets, and Tess Holiday got them on my radar! BUT I haven’t worn this brand in YEARS — so I put it towards the bottom of my list, lol. They have some really cute options for spring, I think!

Y’ALL I have had my eyes on LuvMeMore for YEARS, but I’ve never pulled the trigger and check out! I need to do that this spring/summer, because their plus size two piece flowy sets live in my brain RENT FREE, lolol.
I also love that you can buy the two piece sets as single pieces or the whole shebang! That red one is truly my fave! (FYI, they also have two piece sets with shorts! I was just a ditz and neglected to include photos of those!!)
