With the 2020’s now officially here, I really wanted to do a plus size flapper photoshoot! I love a good plus size flapper dress, whether it’s for Halloween, New Year’s Eve – or just a party.
I had some trouble finding a high quality flapper dress in plus sizes, but it was a little difficult! Then I found Unique Vintage. In this post, I’ve reviewed 2 Great Gatsby inspired dresses from Unique Vintage – Art Deco lovers, eat your heart out!

These high quality plus size flapper dresses in blue and red have gold sequins and beads, and they didn’t chafe at all!
My Measurements & Sizing
Figuring out which size to order can be hard, so I’ve shared my measurements below. I ordered my dresses in a 3X.
- Bust: 51″
- Waist: 46″
- Hips: 52″
The size chart puts my waist outside of the 3X, but these dresses fit just fine! These dresses stop at a 3X, but Unique Vintage carries up to a 6X.
Planning the Photoshoot
I’m learning to up my Creative Director skills, and this was the first photoshoot where I rented furniture!

I loved this dress, especially the shoulder details!
The under layer is burgundy stretch knit and has a delicate black mesh overlay with twinkling gold sequins and beading lend a dash of starlight and enchantment to your silhouette.

This dress has a lot of sparkle, and I felt so cute in it!
