Let’s talk plus size winter outfits!! Winter is coming (lol), and it’s one of my favorite fashion seasons! From plus size pea coats to fun sweater dresses with tights to wide calf boots – I have a BLAST with plus size winter fashion.

In this blog post, I’ve shared my fave plus size winter fashion outfits for 2023! As we get closer to snow falling in Utah (where I’m based!), I’ll keep updating this post with my finds.

I cannot get over how freakin’ cool and futuristic this plus size faux leather suit set from Eloquii is! This is a next level plus size winter outfit!
I have bought a number of faux leather pieces from Eloquii, and they keep you warm! (Plus, they’re lined with softer fabric, it almost feels like suede.)

#2 Plus Size Winter Fashion Outfit: Wool Blend Coat & Jeans City Chic in 2023
This plus size winter outfit from City Chic is so dang chic! I love the burgundy red wool blend coat paired with booties and a light wash skinny jean. I probably wouldn’t personally wear a light wash jean in winter, just because there’s so much mud and slush where I live!!
To dress this up, wear a silky work blouse underneath. For more casual winter days, I’d put a white tee – or even a graphic tee! – underneath.

#3: Plus Size Winter Outfit 2023: Knit Cardigan and Matching Skirt
A lot of matching plus size sets read as a bit more casual (love it), but this plus size winter set in blue plaid from Eloquii is definitely a statement-making outfit!
One can wear it as separates (pairing the sweater with wide leg trousers, for instance), or wear them together.

This maxi dress from Amazon can make up the perfect plus size winter outfit. You can pair it with plus size leggings (or full on PANTS) underneath, adding additional layers as needed.
I’d style with a puff vest with fur hood!
This maxi dress also comes in about a dozen colors and patterns – making it easy for you to find the color you look best in!

#5 Plus Size Winter Outfit: Eloquii Faux Leather Skirt & Top in 2023
i am thinking of adding this plus size winter outfit to my cart right now, because I think it’s stylish and easy to wear! A plus size leather skirt is SUCH a staple for fall and winter plus size fashion, in my book!!
Eloqii created this plus size winter outfit for us, pairing a faux leather plus size skirt with a new take on a floral print sweater! I’d style this with black tights and black booties. Love it!

#6 Plus Size Winter Outfit in 2023: Parka Jacket and Plaid Skirt – City Chic
I love this plus size winter outfit, and it’s giving me Dark Academia vibes! The City Chic styling team paired this butterfuly blouse with a plaid skirt, adding in black booties. City Chic offers plus size winter fashion in up to a size US 24!
Finishing the look is this army green winter parka.
If you need to be a bit more warm, add in a pair of black wool tights! This green parka is out of stock, but I love this plus size winter outfit so much (love the plaid skirt, printed top and parka altogether), so I had to keep it!

#7 Plus Size Winter Fashion Outfit: Fair Isle Sweater from Ulla Ppken
Everyone should have a Fair Isle sweater in their winter wardrobe, and this creme plus size sweater from Ulla Popken might just be “the one.”
This is a perfect winter layering sweater, easily going over a long sleeved top or tee, or acting as a base layer for a plus size winter coat.

A red and black plaid jacket is another staple plus size winter outfit, and this is a piece that I can see folks wearing for years to come!

If we’ve been hanging out on the internet for a minute, then you know I am OBSESSED with plaid trousers and plaid jeggigs – and leggings! Lol.
I think they’re such a fun way to jazz up an outfit (referencing Vivienne Westwood for the win)!

#15 Plus Size Winter Fashion Outfit: Snakeskin Trench Coat Hillary MacMillan
Dressing in layers for winter doesn’t mean that you have to be lumpy and sad! This snakeskin trench coat from 11 Honore is so chic, and I love how it’s paired with a white cream knit dress! I would add booties or boots for winter though, lol!

When I first saw this plus size winter outfit from Unique Vintage, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the yellow.
But you know what?
I’m into it!

So, a pencil skirt isn’t *as* doable in the winter if you live somewhere where there’s lots of snow.
Buuuut, if you’re looking for a winter plus size work outfit – then this outfit from Unique Vintage is my go-to recommendation. Unique Vintage makes plus size clothing in up to a 4X.
