Are you trying to figure out where to shop for plus size clothing in Los Angeles?
As a plus size shopper, I know it can be pretty hard to find a brick and mortar store that carries plus size fashion! I go to LA on a regular basis, and while there are a ton of places to shop, it can be a challenge to figure out what store *actually* carry plus size clothing in-store.
[Instead of, ya know, the brands who *say* they carry plus size clothing – but don’t! I hate experiencing that!!!]

Plus Size Clothing Stores in LA
Ok, so rounding up a list of plus size clothing stores is moreeee a roundup of plus size boutiques and fashion brands in LA County, where LA is located. When I go to LA, I make sure sure to use Google Maps to strategize my shopping and driving time!
Below, I’ve shared a list of where to find plus size shops in LA, along with my thoughts on their offering and selection.
Tips for Shopping for Plus Size Clothes in LA:
- MAP IT! Los Angeles is a geographic area, and something that looks “pretty close” can take a LONG time to get there, because of traffic! Be sure to check travel time and avoid rush hour! Doublecheck the address before going!
- Call ahead! If you’re looking for specific sizes or pieces, you can definitely call ahead (or message a brand on Instagram) for smaller boutiques and stores!
- Have fun & use a stylist! Many of the se plus size clothing stores in LA will have an onsite stylist or customer service person who can help you put together new outfits! You’re in LA, baby! Step outside of your comfort zone! I think it’s so fun to play with fashion, don’t you?!

LA Plus Size Clothes #1: The Plus Bus
First up on our list of plus size fashion stores in Los Angeles is The Plus Bus! This brand is one of the most famous plus size vintage and thrift stores in the USA, probs one of the. most famous on planet Earth!!! I recently visited The Plus Bus on a trip to LA, and it was super fun to see the diverse selection of vintage, secondhand and indie-made plus size clothing. I think this plus size clothing store in LA is a MUST visit for all plus size babes shopping in LA! It’s an EXPERIENCE!
From The Plus Bus website: “The Plus Bus is a curated plus size fashion destination based in Los Angeles. We offer brand new, consignment, and gently used second hand clothing and accessories including a range of fast fashion to luxury brands.”
The Plus Bus *also* often carries closet sales from plus size performers, bloggers, models and influencers!

LA Plus Size Store #2: Community by TPB
Recently, The Plus Bus opened a SECOND location, an outlet store, called “Community by TPB.” This is where you go if you want to search through racks and bins to find a killer deal, that may need a button replaced or zipper fixed!

LA Plus Size Store #3: THICK
Ok, #2 on. my list of plus size clothing brands in LA is THICK! I haven’t visited this LA plus size store IRL, but I am intrigued by what I am seeing online!

I’m a passionate woman, dedicated to carrying the best clothes for plus size women and have my customers leaving the store looking and feeling amazing. At my store, we really care that a woman feels great, we love to help her find clothes that will look great on her body so she walks out with that golden confidence!”

- Sizing: Looking online, it looks like this plus size store in Los Angeles stops at a 3X.
THICK has a mix of plus size resort wear, plus size casual clothes and plus size evening clothes. I am loving their plus size maxi dresses!

LA Plus Size Store #4: Ashley Stewart

I often shop Ashley Stewart online, and I was stoked to see they have plus size clothing stores in the Los Angeles area! This plus size clothing store is also one of the most size inclusive in the Los Angeles area, offering pieces up to a size 32 [availability may vary in-store – so be sure to call and check!].
From the plus size fashion brand: “Founded in 1991, Ashley Stewart is a leading fashion, multi-media brand serving curvy women around the country.”
Ashley Stewart carries plus size workwear, and statement making plus size clothing! I have it on my list to test out their plus size denim offerings.

LA Plus Size Store #5: Proud Mary Fashion
Next up on the list of plus size clothing stores around Los Angeles, we have Proud Mary Fashion! If you’re looking for unique plus size clothing you can’t get elsewhere, you’ll def want to stop in and shop this LA-based plus size fashion brand!
From the brand: “We are an LA based plus size brand offering vintage and original clothing and accessories. We are a plus size owned and operated small business. Our house line is designed and made here in LA.”

Los Angeles Plus Size Store #6: Lane Bryant
Lane Bryant is a staple in many plus size shoppers closet! Lane Bryant carries clothes in up to a size 40 on their site, but I have not seen a size 40 in-store.
If you’d like to shop for plus size clothing in-person, here’s a hack: Order the clothes you want to try-on online, ship them to a tore and then try them on there. After you’re done shopping, you can return the items from your online order that didn’t work!

LA Plus Size Store #7: Madewell
Madewell has a store in the Los Angeles area, buuut IDK the status of how many plus size options they have in-store. Madewell has sizes 14W – 28W.
I’ve heard different things about the availability of plus size clothing at Madewell stores. I’d call ahead to see how many plus size options they have, before driving over!

LA Plus Size Store #8: Torrid
Next up on our list of plus size clothing stores in Los Angeles, we have Torrid! This plus size brand carries plus size clothing in up to a 6X or size 30/32. Often the selection of 6X clothing is low, so I recommend ordering online and shipping to the store. This way, you can shop in-store and know they’ll have stuff in your size – and you can return what doesn’t work!

LA Plus Size Store #9: Unique Vintage
Unique Vintage is a Canadian brand, and I forgot that they have a store in Los Angeles. The brand has super cute clothing, and they carry pieces in up to a size 4X or size 24.
I love love their clothes, and I can’t wait to shop at their store in LA! [I’ve never been, but it’s on my list!]

LA Plus Size Fashion Store #10: Big Bud Press
I visited the Big Bud Press store in LA a few years, ago and I had a blast trying on their clothes, especially the jumpsuit! The brand goes up to a 6XL, but their sizes run small, FYI! (When you grade up from a size small, often the size chart doesn’t look the same as other plus-only brands!)

LA Plus Size Fashion Store #11: Abundance Plus Size Boutique
I have never been to this plus size boutique in Los Angeles, but they’re on my list!

I was surprised to learn Curvy Sense has a plus size store in the LA area!

Next up, we have plus size brand, Zelie for She. This brand is based in Los Angeles, and will sometimes have pop up events to shop in person!

Nerecina Couture is a plus size luxury fashion brand, founded by Jenine Nerecina. This brand is known for their luxurious custom work for the red carpet, as well as some gorgeous RTW pieces!

LA Plus Size Brand #16: byVINNIK
byVINNIK is a luxury and sustainable brand known for their INCREDIBLE fabrics and silhouettes. (I recently snagged a dress from byVINNIK, and I was SO impressed.)

LA Plus Size Store #17: WILDFANG
WILDFANG is an LGBT-owned and focused brand that carries straight and plus sizes in up to a size 3X or size 24! I actually visited their plus size store in LA in April, and I had a blast trying on! They had a really good selection of stock and options for plus size babes! (Like multiples of the SAME item in the SAME size. Love that!)
