Folks, I love a business suit. And finding plus size business suits for women can be a CHALLENGE. It can be even more difficult for folks to find a plus size suit who might be perceived as women – but who aren’t women.

SO, today on my blog, I’m going to share where folks can buy plus size suits for women – and anyone else who may find themselves shopping in that section. Whether you’re looking for business suits, wedding suits or just a suit to wear and feel SUPER GREAT in – this blog post is for you.
(On the backend, I know folks are searching “Plus size suits for women” on google, so that’s why I’m wording it this way. Before we get going, I want to share a few of my own tips when shopping for plus size suits for women — and everyone else! These tips are based on my experience buying and loving to wear plus size suits!
- TAILORING: Many people get (understandably) frustrated when a suit doesn’t fit SUPER well off the rack. And darling the reason for this is because clothing is MASS MANUFACTURED. If you want a plus suit to fit like it was tailored for you, then you have to, you know, take your suit to an actual tailor!
- INVEST: It is much better to invest in a higher quality suit that will last you for YEARS, over going for a cheap imitation. Photos can look pretty similar online, but I promise the fabric on cheap plus size suits for women just isn’t that great!
- EMBRACE COLOR: Listen, a good navy plus size suit can be a staple for a lot of people (more more-conservative plus size workwear looks here! Oh and here!), but darling — if you’re gonna wear a suit, then WEAR THE MF SUIT! Own it! Be bold! Take up space! Ily!

Ok, so first up on our list of options for plus size suits for women is ELOQUII. This plus size fashion brand is known for their business suits, wedding suits and just on point aesthetic.
Sizing
- Eloquii goes up to a size 28/30. I’m 5’4″, and I’ve found I need to get pants tailored at the hem, which is pretty normal for suiting.

PTL is known for creating super trendy plus size clothing, and their plus size suits for women are no exception. These are more fashion forward and trendy suits than typical office workwear!

#3 Plus Size Suits for Women – Universal Standard
Third on our list of options for plus size suits for women is Universal Standard. This plus size fashion brand is based in New York City, and they are the go-to brand for plus size business folks working in finance – as well as plus size folks working on The Hill and politics in Washington DC. I love that their pieces are easy to mix and match.
- Sizing: Universal Standard goes up to a size 40, making it one of the most inclusive brands in plus size business suiting!

#4 Plus Size Suits for Women – Woman Within
Continuing with recommendations for plus size suits is Woman Within! This plus size fashion brand is the best kept secret in plus size fashion – folks either buy a TON from Woman Within or don’t know it exists!
- Sizing: Woman Within goes up to a size 40, making it one of the most inclusive brands in plus size business suiting! Not all of their clothing goes up to this size, so be sure to use the filters when searching.

#6 Plus Size Suits for Women – Ashley Stewart
If you’re looking for a suit with fashion forward design details, then Ashley Stewart.
The brand goes up to a size 36, with different plus size suits stopping at various sizes. I recommend using the filter feature on the site to sort your search results based on your size! I do that all of the time, and I think it makes plus size shopping WAY easier!

#7 Plus Size Suits for Women – David’s Bridal
David’s Bridal is (obviously) known for their plus size weddings dresses, and the brand also makes gorgeous plus size suits!
- Sizing: The brand makes plus size wedding suits in up to a size 30W. Below, I’ve shared some of my fave plus size suits from the brand!

ASOS is a brand based in the United Kingdom, and holy wow do they have a lot of options for plus size suits on their website.
Most of their plus size business suits are available in up to a US 24. They carry different brands, so be sure to always check the size chart before ordering!

I am LOVING the bold and bright plus size suits for women at Ulla Popken! I would love to see the pieces on a larger plus size model, for sure!

Boohoo is another brand based in the United Kingdom, and holy wow do they have a lot of options on their website. Please note that a good amount of their models are NOT plus size, so please disregard the photos. I know that’s SUPER frustrating, and I’m hoping Boohoo hires more visibly plus size models soon to work for them!

I love investing in pieces, and 11 Honoré is a great place to find high end and luxury plus size suits!
Sizing and measurements change depending on designer, and the 11 Honoré team is always down to chat and make recommendations on sizing.

#12 Plus Size Suits for Women – City Chic Online
Next up on our list of options for plus size suits for women is City Chic. This plus size fashion brand is based in Australia, and they have a separate website for their US customers. I love their bold colors, and I’ve found that this plus size brand really knows how to design clothing that is comfy to wear.
- Sizing: City Chic goes up to a size 22/24. Sizing can vary, so if you need a suit ASAP I recommend ordering 2 sizes and returning what doesn’t work!

Another great option for designer plus size suits is Macy’s! I’ve never shopped for suits at Macy’s, but I’m pretty dang impressed with their online offering!

#14 Plus Size Suits for Women & Everyone Else – NY&CO
NY&CO recently entered the plus size space, and I am so excited! I grew up shopping with my (very chic) mom at NY&CO, and for years I’ve passed stores and wished I could shop there! NY&CO is a great brand to find “mix and match” pieces, so be sure to look at their plus size professional/work pants, as well as blazers and suit jackets!

#15 Plus Size Suits for Women & Everyone Else – Wildfang
Last but never least in my heart is Wildfang! This LGBT-owned brand is known for their more masculine cuts (I have a whole guide to more masculine plus size clothing HERE!), and their suits are ON TREND and bold af!
