ML Monique Lhuillier has been a brand I have OBSESSED over for quite a while. Monique Lhuillier is a brand known for its beautiful wedding dresses, and ML Monique Lhuillier is their RTW (ready-to-wear) line.
I just love the romance their dresses evoke.
And now, I can say that I have tried (and LOVED) a dress from ML Monique Lhuillier. I rented the Floral Embroidered Gown (Retail $585) via m Nuuly subscription, and I am totally in love.

I recently shot a look book with this dress in the wilds of Utah, and I had such a fun time!
Below, I’ve shared my thoughts on the design of this dress, as well as how plus size ML Monique Lhuillier FITS!
Favorite Design Feature: Lace Placement
My favorite feature of this plus size ML Monique Lhuillier dress was the way they placed the lace over the bust. This was done SO thoughtfully, and really made the dress visually impactful.
I also loved the puff sleeve detailing!
Fit Review: Plus Size ML Monique Lhuillier Dress
I snagged the Floral Embroidered Gown in a size 18. My measurements at this time are 47.5/38/49 (bust/waist/hips). For those of you used to comparing sizes from other brands, I’m a size 18 in Eloquii and Lane Bryant, and a 1X in Torrid!
Bigger Bust – Help Getting Zipped In! 😉
I’m a busty lady, wearing an H cup (recs on my favorite H cup bras HERE). I had to have a little help getting zipped into the dress, “squinching” my bust in so the zipper could go up.
Once the dress was on, it fit BEAUTIFULLY. I love love the way the bodice is constructed, and this dress definitely cinched me in at the waist with a wide band.
Dress Length – I’m 5’4″
I paired this dress with platform shoes when I wore it out, as it’s a little bit longer (great for taller plus size babes).
Styling Ideas – ML Monique Lhuillier Dress in a Size 18
This dress has so much going on, with the lace, full skirt, etc. I paired it with a black flat brim hat for fun, but you can definitely go without! If I had longer hair, I would’ve done a lose side braid with it!
Look Book Time!
Below, I’ve shared some of my favorite images from the photoshoot. I’ve shared all the images to my Pinterest account, so be sure to join me there!
